Saray Bosna
SARAY BOSNA When we look at the ingredients, we get the impression that it's just a barnyard scent, BUT it's not just that.
Saray Bosna is a specific moment in the year and in a specific place.
Saray Bosna refers to a neighborhood where I lived in the countryside, away from the city, and the further you go towards the outskirts of the city, the deeper you get into the countryside neighborhoods that lived like in the old days with herds of sheep, cows, donkeys, and horses...
And when I passed through this neighborhood in a specific place, I could smell Siberian musk in my nostrils, YES, Siberian musk with a hint of oud, earthy, slightly leathery, and green peasant nuances...
To compose this fragrance, I went to this specific place several times to smell this scent.
But where did this smell come from?
It came from the villagers, who mixed cow dung with straw, added fresh grass on top every day, and exposed it to the sun.
According to them, this makes an excellent fertilizer for cultivation.
So after all that, I absolutely wanted to capture this scent in a bottle.
Saray Bosna opens with a strong scent of Siberian musk, which evolves into a scent of Hindi oud.
Here, I used a wild vintage trat dating back 13-14 years, and the second oud used is a high-grade Hindi Assam oud.
The fragrance evolves beautifully, with musk and oud blending perfectly. This blend also features a touch of Kessar saffron and a beautiful 6-year-old benzoin absolute.
Saray Bosna is a beautiful collector's item for lovers of musky oudy fragrances who enjoy barn notes.
