QI-NAN VERT
Qinan-vert is the fragrance a mature man wants to savor at a specific moment, because this man is fully aware of the moment as it unfolds before him; he knows deep down that it is a unique moment. When will such a precise moment ever come again? That’s a very good question, so while the opportunity presents itself, let’s make the most of it!
Because once you’re mature, you realize the good times and specific moments you need to savor—moments a young man doesn’t know how to distinguish.
Why write this text before a description of the fragrance? I think everyone must have asked themselves that question after reading it.
Well, let’s just say that Qinan-Vert’s entire description is right there in that first paragraph. This fragrance is one to be savored at a specific moment; it isn’t aggressive in character nor does it have a very long sillage... No, it lasts a very long time—it has great longevity—but with such finesse. You must enjoy its aura precisely in those specific moments when you want a moment of rest, a moment of relaxation, a moment of meditation, a moment to disconnect from everything and simply enjoy its fabulous aura.
Qinan-vert opens with a creamy, buttery note of Chinese oud; it unfolds its various facets of oud, and after a moment, you catch green notes unlike any I’ve encountered before—green notes distinct from those of “Aruha Noir” or “Smoking Leather.” These are vibrant green notes, like a handful of damp grass plucked by hand; you can then detect the slightly creamy, woody sandalwood with hints of dry wood, and of course I used a very rare seaweed absolute that really comes into its own as the fragrance develops.
As the fragrance dries down, you’ll detect plenty of dried fruit notes—hazelnuts, cashews, and even walnuts.
Qinan-vert is wonderful; it’s a collector’s item to have in your wardrobe, ready to be brought out at just the right moment.
